About Saint Luke
St. Luke (active 50 A.D.) was one of the four Evangelists. Since the 2nd century he has been regarded as the author of the Third Gospel and its sequel, the Acts of the Apostles. Tradition and one text of St. Paul's (Colossians 4:14) testify that Saint Luke was a trained physician, and painted the first icons of the Mother of God.
A View of Saint Luke Ukrainian Orthodox Christian Church on a cloudy day…
To love as Christ loves, with the love of God who is Love, is the chief commandment for human beings according to Christianity. It can only be accomplished by God’s grace, by faith. It is not humanly possible. It is done by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
